Quick and Easy Yeast Dinner Rolls
When I say quick and easy, I mean yeast dinner rolls ready to rock and roll in an hour!
You guys went crazy asking for my recipe when I posted my tutorial for a braided cinnamon roll on Instagram. Although I typically prefer an overnight potato bread dough, this recipe is my go to when I am short on time (I use it way more often than an overnight dough), plus it is delicious! I use this dough for dinner rolls, and sweet rolls - filled with jam, cinnamon and sugar, orange compote, etc. You can even shape it into a loaf (baking time will need to be adjusted). This is the recipe I used for the braid from Instagram as well.
Grab your mixer and let's get started.
Ingredients for 1 hour easy dinner rolls:
3 cups warm water
3/4 cup granulated sugar
4 Tbsp active dry yeast
1 cup canola oil
3 large eggs
1 Tbsp salt
8 cups white flour
Instructions:
In a large capacity mixer, combine water, sugar and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes. Add oil, eggs, salt and about 4 cups flour. Mix together until dough is smooth and elastic. Add in remaining flour and knead for 5 minutes. You should have a somewhat sticky dough. Let the dough rest for about 15-20 minutes. Because of the amount of yeast in this dough, it will rise quickly. Roll dough out on a well floured surface to desired shape (braid, crescent, etc.). Place on to parchment lined or sprayed baking pans and let rest for another 10-15 minutes. Bake at 350° for 10-15 minutes.
ENJOY!!
XOXO,
Kimberly Marie
